August Birthdays...Again!!!
Why is it that birthdays are not as anticipated by us as adults as they once were? Is it the lack of candy? Maybe the lack of desire to eat any candy to begin with? Whatever the case... I am now a year older and Mark will be as of tomorrow. We enjoyed a very nice Birthday dinner out together while he was visiting. ( we even ordered a dessert to share just because we could get away with ordering just the one!) Thanks for the birthday cards, calls and wishes that many of you sent our way!

96th Annual Creamery Picnic and Parade
Yesterday we took part in our communities 96th annual Creamery picnic and parade. The parade was a hit with most of our children. Maddie ( who had a "run -in" with the Griz mascot the day before) was a bit on the nervous side for most of it. After the parade we all walked to Nana and Papa's for lunch and some rest. Then later in the afternoon we walked over to the park to check out the booths and displays there. The kids made off with free popsicles, a couple goody bags, hard earned paddle tops and some cotton candy from good old Daddy. They were able to get into an Ambulance and watch the firemen have hose battles. It was a fun day.
