Chief Gets Groomed

Chief went to the groomers for the first time last week. They trimmed his sharp puppy nails and washed him all up for us and brushed him out really pretty. He has always been shiny and soft but he was even more so after they were done. We called the trainer today and are hoping to get him started with some basic training really soon. He is very smart and does several tricks for us, but he still likes to jump....a lot!

Preparing To Leave

We are preparing to head out to California for our 3 month visit with Mark. The travel trailer is here with Mark and we have spent the last week packing it. It actually has a pretty good amount of storage space in it and we even have a couple of cabinets that are still empty. Madeline had trouble at the RV sales lot when we went to one before we purchased ours , so I worried that she might not adjust well at first to being in ours. She loves it though...yay! Sammie is a bit unsure , but she settles down once we are in it. So, 2 more days and we are officially roughing it! Everyone is excited and nervous all at the same time. Please pray for safety and great family time for us! Thanks!

Just A Rainy Day

We have been having some nice cooler days and some rain off and on now. The kids are not sure that they enjoy this change in weather yet, but the rain drew a few of them to the large window in our dining area. I used the oppurtunity to grab a few pictures of them. Which got the attention of all of them.

Sunday School

This September brought with it the annual advancement of the Sunday School classes at our church. Three of our children moved into new classes. Zach and Andrew advanced and Madeline joined the brand new 2 and 3 year old class. I snuck around to grab some pictures. They all really enjoyed thier new classes and teachers.

Fun With Yearbooks

I had some friends on another site post some pics they had done at http://www.yearbookyourself.com/ so I did a few of myself and family members. It was definately a laugh! Try it out. Here is how I might have looked way back when and not so far back when.

Reflexology

While visiting a friend this week, we will call her Mrs C., I was treated to a reflexology foot message. I had not experienced anything like this before. Not only did it feel good, but I was intrigued by the spots that came up tender and how they were linked to other areas of my body that I knew had "issues". I think I will look into this some more myself now. I found a chart online at www.reflexology-research.com and printed it out. If you know a good read on this let me know!

Sweet little tantrum child

Andrew decided to have a fit over our choice of dinner a couple weeks ago. He was dismissed from the table until he wanted to eat what he was served. He decided to go under the table to pout about things. This is how we found him....

Rearranging

My parents are moving back up to our property at the end of the month. We have decided to give them the basement space for now while we wait for construction to get going. That meant moving the boys out of there. So, we have placed the kids together upstairs. It seems like a small space for 5 kids, but it actually turned out quite nicely. Besides, after 3 months in the 30 ft trailer this is going to feel quite spacious to them!

Here is how it turned out.

The kids first "real" camping trip

My sister Laura and I took my children plus two of my nieces camping at the KOA in Missoula. We had a pretty good time. It was a bit more crowded than we might have prefered, but overall it was a nice place. The kids were well behaved, but we decided that more adults need to come along nest time.
